Nanoelectronics
|
MAY09/175 (added
20/3/09) |
Nanoelectronics is the essential hardware
enabler for the innovation of electronic products and services
in key growth markets for the European industry. In 2004 a High
Level Group of key representatives published its 'Vision 2020'
for Nanoelectronics and launched ENIAC, the European Technology
Platform for Nanoelectronics, with the overall aim to guarantee
Europe the earliest possible access to leading-edge integrated
components, miniaturized electronic (sub) systems and design
skills for application in high-technology products and services,
thereby reinforcing Europe’s existing industrial strengths and
ensuring that core intellectual property is generated and
benefited from in the region. As a result of the work of the
Technology Platform, the ENIAC Strategic Research Agenda (SRA)
was established through the voluntary and concerted efforts of
experts from industry, academia, and public authorities across
Europe. Notice is hereby given of the launch of a call for

specific objective or target group is set for prevention
projects. However, the general requirement for eligible
projects is to contribute to the development of a

the 'response-preparedness-prevention-remediation' chain, by
matching general policy and civil protection requirements.

Mobility and Career Development |
|
AUG09/852
(added 20/3/09) |
The 'Marie Curie Actions' have long been
one of the most popular and appreciated features of the
Community Framework Programmes for Research and
Technological Development. They have developed significantly
in orientation over time, from a pure mobility fellowships
programme to a programme dedicated to stimulating
researchers' career development. The 'Marie Curie Actions'
have been particularly successful in responding to the needs
of Europe's scientific community in terms of training,
mobility and career development. This has been demonstrated
by a demand in terms of highly ranked applications that in
most actions extensively surpassed the available financial
support. |
